Celebration of Life Memorial Service
Yury Feygin, Friday, January 26, 2018, 7:50 p.m.:
“Sweetheart, I stand here at a loss for words. How do I take 10 years of our life together and put it into 5 minutes? How do I describe our love? How do I talk about how much you meant to our children and how they meant the world to you?
But, I can thank you for a lot of things.
Thank you for falling in love with me.
Thank you for saying “I do” when I got down on one knee in your bedroom on a rainy November evening in 2006.
Thank you for feeding me to the tune of 40 extra lbs in the first 10 months of our marriage, I think you forgot you weren’t cooking for all your siblings anymore!
Thank you for being a strong, independent woman that stood confident and challenged my intellect consistently yet respected me in every single way possible.
Thank you for our son Daniel. For the love of Christ that you instilled in him daily. For leading him by example and for writing in his journal as he grew.
Thank you for Annie. For showing her what a Godly woman looks like and for being a gentle mother who inspired her to live out her passions for reading, dance, and singing.
Thank you for our dear little Sarah who turns two today….thank you for pleading to Jesus to save her on the patio deck of our home in the mountains at 3 a.m. when you were 2 months pregnant and we thought she was lost based on the amount of blood in the shower that night. I will never forget the beautiful sound of her heart beating 120 times per minute the next morning at the hospital.
But most of all……. I thank you for being an example of what it means to be a disciple of Christ. You sought the Lord always, to see others through His eyes, to grieve during others’ pain, to encourage and support and to pray for miraculous healing.
Your walk with the Lord, especially the last year, was convicting to my heart. I thank you so much for that……..
Earlier this week, I was in the living room with your brothers and sisters and we were crying and talking about you…..someone asked me, “Yury, what would Tanya tell us right now if she was able to come down from heaven?” I thought about it and said that without a doubt you would say “it is indescribable here, make sure you make it to heaven and there is only one way. Jesus said I am the way, the truth and the life, no one comes to the Father except through Me.”
I can’t wait to see you………….
I miss you……………
I love you…………….”
